our merch will be 90% sustainable by 2023
We are committed to operating sustainably with the environment in mind. We currently are a 100% online business, so that means we have less of an environmental impact in the long-run. Our merch is 85% sustainable. We aim to increase this to 90% by 2023. Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage. What’s more, one in every five items produced by the fashion industry reach landfills without being worn even once. As we work with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Each product you see in our catalog is made on-demand, which means once you place the order, we start working to get it to you. It takes time for our vendors to create and send out the product, but making each order on-demand allows us to avoid overproduction. This approach is the best for helping protect the planet we all share. Additionally, our printing partner's high-quality printing tech creates almost no wastewaters and uses less energy than standard industry printers. The inks our vendors use for printing are vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. Currently, our apparel and blankets arrive in polymer mailers. If there’s more than one product, after putting each item in their own separate polymer mailer, they are then placed all together in a polymer bag. The polymer bags consist of recyclable, low-density polyethylene. Some of the packages have recycling instructions on them. Additionally, our mugs are packed in cardboard boxes. We’ll be working to expand our packaging with more eco-friendly options in the future.
