Siera Whitaker is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Affirm Noire. She was born on January 23, 1991, in Charleston, South Carolina and raised primarily in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. Siera became a caregiver to her mom at the age of 11. After her mom’s death in 2013, Siera sought creative arts therapy for depression and guidance. She credits it to helping her cope with generational traumatic experiences and grief. As a Creative, she’s a singer-songwriter, poet, and author. She dabbles in many forms of expression including graphic design, painting, and cooking. Her work Sometimes It Takes A Letter has been published in midnight&indigo. She has been featured on Big Sisters Club and the Sacrosanct Collective.
